Prayer Journal

Y'all writing out my prayers has been such a beneficial change in my life. I used to pray in the morning and evening in my head, but my mind would wander so easily. So I started to write out my prayers and tape them to my closet door. It helped focus my mind, but I also loved being able to see them daily. It's been really cool when I begin to see God answering certain prayers that I had written down. He is so faithful! I created these lil printables for my own prayers, but thought you might enjoy them too.

Sometimes I like to pray with J.O.Y. in mind. J.O.Y. stand for Jesus, Others, and You. So you begin your prayer by praising God. Thank him for who he is and all that he has done. You can then transition to praying for others and their needs. Next you can pray for yourself, bringing your personal burdens before God. I then like to end my time just sitting in silence, not asking anything of God, but simply sitting in his presence. Sometimes from that time I might write down a few thoughts.

Prayer does not have to be complicated. It’s simply a time of being in conversation with God.
